Tina’s latest blog on shining in life with confidence provides some simple, easy to implement tips on how you can help yourself overcome a lack of confidence…
Whether you think you have it or not, most of us crave more. I’m talking of course, about confidence. It’s linked to self-belief, in other words how strongly you believe in yourself. It is about being authentic and true to yourself, and being comfortable with that.
Sometimes life gets in the way and your confidence can become knocked. However, I have got some good news for you: confidence isn’t something you either have or don’t have, it is a skill that can be learnt and practised. But how do you learn and what do you do? Well, keep reading for three ways to get you started today…
1. List Your Successes
If you’re feeling low on confidence, you might be forgetting all the great things you’ve already achieved, losing track of your achievements to date. It is human nature that sometimes negative experiences overshadow the positive ones. Listing out your successes will give you a real confidence boost! You can then refer back to the list when you need a reminder. Remember to add to the list as your achievements grow.
2. Dress To Impress
Confidence is far more than just appearance; however, it is a factor. Do your clothes reflect a positive you? Do you feel good wearing them? Are they flattering? Or do you have to constantly fidget and adjust them? Dress the part of the person you want to be. Even if you are not feeling particularly confident you can fake it until you make it by changing your posture and potentially your clothes.
3. Self-Love Affirmations
Self-love affirmations are great for feeling better about yourself and are often used to help someone reach their goals. Needing a boost in your life is perfectly natural and normal, as we all have things that get in the way of us feeling good about ourselves. Affirmations help you deal with negative feelings about yourself. They help increase self-reliance, help you take action with your life and build self-confidence and self-esteem.
